Dushanbe, June 28, 2026 – The Europe Today: A ceremony and public awareness campaign were held on June 26 at the State Flag Square in Bokhtar to mark the adoption by the United Nations of the resolution titled “International Decade for Peacebuilding for Future Generations, 2027–2036,” proposed by President Emomali Rahmon.

According to the Executive Committee of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan in Khatlon Region, the event featured the party campaign “Distribution of Information Leaflets to Residents,” during which 2,000 informational leaflets were distributed to residents and visitors of Bokhtar. The initiative was aimed at raising public awareness of the president’s latest international initiative and highlighting its significance for both Tajikistan and the global community.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party’s Executive Committee in Khatlon, Jamshed Saidzoda, said Tajikistan’s international initiatives have been timely and instrumental in addressing regional and global challenges.

He noted that the new initiative seeks to strengthen peace, promote dialogue and reconciliation, and encourage positive interaction among generations, including children, youth and older people, while taking into account the interests and needs of future generations in policymaking and decision-making processes.

Saidzoda added that it was particularly symbolic that the adoption of the resolution coincided with the celebration of National Unity Day, describing the development as an important international achievement that further enhances Tajikistan’s standing on the global stage.

Head of the Khatlon Regional Department for Youth and Sports, Ramazon Nasriddinzoda, congratulated the country’s more than 1.05 million young people on the international community’s adoption of the initiative. He described the resolution as a significant milestone and an example of Tajikistan’s humanitarian-oriented foreign policy.

Participants also praised President Rahmon’s international initiatives, stating that his constructive proposals have earned global recognition and represent a source of pride for the people of Tajikistan.
