Islamabad, August 14, 2026 — The Europe Today: President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has extended sincere congratulations to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of Pakistan’s Independence Day.
In his congratulatory message, President Putin described Pakistan’s Independence Day as the country’s national holiday and conveyed his best wishes to the Pakistani leadership and people.
He said that Russia-Pakistan relations were developing successfully, with Moscow and Islamabad maintaining productive cooperation in political, trade, economic, humanitarian and other fields.
The Russian President also highlighted the two countries’ cooperation on important regional and global issues.
President Putin expressed confidence that Russia and Pakistan would continue their constructive joint efforts to further strengthen the entire spectrum of their partnership for the benefit of the friendly peoples of both countries and in the interests of enhancing international security and stability.
He wished President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif good health and every success, while expressing hopes for peace and prosperity for the people of Pakistan.
