Baku, March 08, 2024, The Europe Today: Mr. Qaiser Nawab, a prominent Pakistani Youth Leader and President of the Pakistan-Azerbaijan Alumni Association (PAAA), as well as President of the Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD), recently held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Hikmat Hajiyev, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the ongoing Islamophobia conference in Baku, 2024.
During the meeting, Mr. Hajiyev delivered an inspiring speech outlining the vision of the President of Azerbaijan for combating intolerance and promoting peace. Mr. Nawab expressed his appreciation for Mr. Hajiyev’s dedication to these important ideals and commended Azerbaijan’s commitment to promoting multilateralism, as evidenced by its upcoming hosting of the COP-29 conference.
Mr. Nawab also congratulated Mr. Hajiyev on Azerbaijan’s successful chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), highlighting the country’s achievements in this role. In turn, Mr. Hajiyev expressed gratitude for Mr. Nawab’s active role as a youth leader and for his efforts in fostering strong ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Recognizing Mr. Nawab’s activism on global issues related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Mr. Hajiyev assured his support for Mr. Nawab’s endeavors. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of both commitment to promoting peace, understanding, and cooperation between their respective nations.
