On its debut day in the Chinese mainland, “Spy x Family Code: White” amassed a staggering 35.24 million yuan (approximately 4.96 million U.S. dollars) in box office earnings, showcasing its immense popularity among audiences.
Following closely behind was the beloved classic “Howl’s Moving Castle,” presented in a restored version by the esteemed Japanese animation maestro Hayao Miyazaki. Despite its release over a decade ago in 2004, the film resonated with audiences, accumulating 17.93 million yuan in box office revenue on Tuesday.
Securing the third position was the Hong Kong action crime thriller “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In,” which garnered a commendable daily earning of 17.55 million yuan, further diversifying the cinematic landscape for audiences in China.
The cumulative box office revenue for the day across the Chinese mainland stood at an impressive 92.44 million yuan, underscoring the robustness of the film industry and the enduring appeal of diverse cinematic offerings among Chinese audiences.
