Uzbekistan and Kuwait Strengthen Diplomatic Ties Through Collaborative Efforts

Kuwait, May 13, 2024, The Europe Today: In a bid to bolster diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, Ambassador Ayubkhan Yunusov recently convened a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Nasir al-Subayh, at the Institute of Diplomacy, as reported by Uzbek media sources.

The discussions commenced with a comprehensive overview of the activities of the Kuwait Diplomatic Institute, named in honor of Sheikh Saud al-Nasser al-Sabah. Both parties underscored the significance of fostering cooperation between educational institutions in Uzbekistan and Kuwait, particularly highlighting the potential signing of a memorandum of understanding between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Kuwait Institute of Diplomacy. It was mutually agreed to initiate the drafting process of this pivotal document in English, signaling a commitment to advancing educational exchange and collaboration between the two nations.

Furthermore, the leadership of the Kuwait Diplomatic Institute received a cordial invitation to participate in the upcoming “Exhibition of investment, export, and tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan,” scheduled to take place on May 13-14. This event presents a prime opportunity for Kuwaiti delegates to explore avenues for investment and partnership within Uzbekistan’s dynamic economic landscape.

The dialogue between Ambassador Yunusov and Deputy Minister al-Subayh underscores the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Kuwait to fostering mutually beneficial ties across diplomatic, educational, and economic spheres.
