Gansu, July 14, 2024, The Europe Today: Shi Taifeng, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has emphasized the importance of fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation while adhering to the principle that religions in China must be oriented towards Chinese culture.
Shi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, made these remarks during a research trip to the northwestern province of Gansu from July 10 to 13.
Shi Stresses Ethnic Unity and Religious Adherence During Gansu Visit
During his visit, Shi called for increased research into the fundamental issues concerning the community for the Chinese nation, alongside improved preservation and utilization of historical materials, cultural relics, and folk culture.
