Azerbaijan and Russia Hold Diplomatic Consultations on Regional Issues

Moscow, July 23, 2024, The Europe Today: Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov of Azerbaijan held consultations in Moscow with his Russian counterpart, Alexander Grushko, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

During the meeting, the two diplomats discussed a range of topics including the situation in the South Caucasus and surrounding regions. The discussions also covered issues related to the European Union and NATO, as well as the EU’s activities in the region. Other mutually interesting topics were also on the agenda.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia noted that the meeting was conducted in a spirit of friendship and trust, reflecting the nature of the strong relations between Russia and Azerbaijan.

Both sides emphasized their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional challenges through dialogue and mutual understanding. The consultations mark an important step in maintaining the stability and development of the South Caucasus region.
