Beijing, July 30, 2024, The Europe Today: The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is scheduled to take place in Beijing from September 4 to 6, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced on Tuesday.
The summit will be held under the theme “Joining Hands to Advance Modernization and Build a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future,” Hua stated. Leaders from FOCAC’s African member countries are expected to attend the summit at the invitation of the forum.
In addition to the national leaders, representatives from relevant African regional organizations and international organizations will also participate in various forum events, Hua added.
This summit aims to strengthen China-Africa relations by fostering modernization and building a high-level community with shared interests and goals. The discussions will likely cover a wide range of topics, including economic cooperation, development initiatives, and strategies to enhance mutual progress.
The FOCAC summit in Beijing will serve as a platform for leaders to collaborate on key issues and reinforce the longstanding partnership between China and African nations.
