Kazakhstan’s President Tokayev Awards Uzbekistan’s President Mirziyoyev with Highest State Honor

Astana, August 08, 2024, The Europe Today: In a significant gesture of diplomatic respect and regional unity, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan has awarded the Order of the Golden Eagle (Altyn Qyran Order) to his Uzbek counterpart, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The announcement was made during a media briefing following bilateral talks held at Akorda, as reported by NHC.

President Tokayev praised Mirziyoyev’s substantial contributions to fostering strong, good-neighborly relations and deepening the alliance between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

“This painstaking work of the leader of Uzbekistan is highly appreciated by the people of Kazakhstan,” President Tokayev stated. “With this in mind, I made the decision to present the highest state award to Shavkat Mirziyoyev—the Order of the Golden Eagle. This is a sign of special respect from all of us for the leader of Uzbekistan and a manifestation of the ancient unity and solidarity between our two countries. May the unshakable friendship of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan be eternal.”

In response, President Mirziyoyev expressed his heartfelt gratitude to President Tokayev and the Kazakh people for the honor.

“I consider this award as a high appreciation of our joint efforts in strengthening the centuries-long true friendship and good-neighborly relations of the two nations,” said Mirziyoyev. “Kazakhstan is our closest, most reliable, and time-tested partner.”
