Belarus and China Launch Contest for Flagship Scientific and Technological Projects for 2025-2026

Minsk, October 23, 2024 – The Europe Today: The State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China have jointly announced a contest for flagship scientific and technological projects for the 2025-2026 period. The contest, aimed at fostering international collaboration in innovation, was revealed by the State Committee on Science and Technology’s press service.

The contest will focus on three key areas: information and communication technologies, advanced production technologies, and new materials. Three large-scale joint projects will be selected, aimed at advancing technological development and establishing joint ventures or industrial technology centers.

To qualify, participants must meet the regulations for international scientific and technical projects in accordance with Belarus’ international treaties. Interested applicants are required to submit the necessary forms electronically, accompanied by a cover letter from a state customer, to the State Committee on Science and Technology.

Applications must include a comprehensive business plan, written commitments from the state customer or other involved parties for practical application of research results, financial participation agreements, a copy of a cooperation agreement with a foreign partner organization, and a departmental expert review.

Submissions for the contest will be accepted from October 21 to November 20. Detailed guidelines and information can be found on the official website of the State Committee on Science and Technology under the International Cooperation section.

This initiative reflects the strong scientific partnership between Belarus and China, further promoting technological progress and innovation through collaborative efforts.
