Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Welcomes New Zealand Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, December 10, 2024 – The Europe Today: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of New Zealand to Uzbekistan, His Excellency Mark Julian Trainor, during a meeting aimed at fostering stronger ties between the two nations.

In his remarks, Minister Saidov emphasized the pivotal role of the countries’ foreign ministries in advancing a comprehensive agenda of mutually beneficial cooperation. He outlined key areas of focus, including sustainable agriculture, industrial development, the green economy, and the promotion of business-to-business partnerships.

“We believe that the two countries’ foreign ministries should be the driving force in developing and implementing a comprehensive agenda of mutually beneficial cooperation,” said Minister Saidov.

The meeting also highlighted opportunities to deepen collaboration across sectors that align with shared priorities and global challenges, particularly in fostering sustainable development.

Minister Saidov extended his congratulations to Ambassador Trainor on his appointment, expressing confidence in the potential for enhanced bilateral relations and productive engagement between Uzbekistan and New Zealand in the years ahead.
