Uzbekistan and Pakistan Open New Horizons of Economic Cooperation

Karachi, January 4, 2025 – The Europe Today: A significant milestone in Uzbek-Pakistani economic relations was achieved at the Uzbek-Pakistani Business Forum, held at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The event served as a key step towards enhancing trade and investment between the two brotherly nations.

Over 60 Pakistani entrepreneurs from various sectors, including leather, pharmaceuticals, construction, agriculture, logistics, and wholesale trade, participated in the forum. Uzbek representatives presented unique investment opportunities and introduced the “Invest in Uzbekistan” brochure, which outlines incentives and conditions for foreign investors.

Pakistani entrepreneurs were invited to Uzbekistan to jointly explore and develop business projects in areas such as textile, pharmaceuticals, and leather and wool processing.

The forum highlighted the strong historical, cultural, and spiritual ties between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, emphasizing their shared commitment to fostering economic growth. His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and constructive spirit shown by Pakistani partners, confidently anticipating the realization of successful joint ventures.

Participants reaffirmed their aspiration to boost bilateral trade to $1 billion, further solidifying the brotherly relationship between the two countries.
