Kuwait City, March 2, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Uzbekistan national team emerged victorious in the sabre fencing team competitions at the Asian Cadet and Junior Fencing Championships, held in Kuwait.
The team, comprising Fernando Herrera, Ayakoz Jumamuratova, Gulistan Perdibayeva, and Samira Shokirova, demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, defeating all their rivals to secure first place among 16 competing teams.
Hong Kong secured the silver medal, while South Korea and Kazakhstan shared the bronze, showcasing strong performances throughout the tournament.
The championship brought together top young fencers from across Asia, highlighting the growing prominence of the sport in the region.
