Tashkent, March 20, 2025 – The Europe Today: Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance, Jamshid Kuchkarov, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Executive Board of Directors and CEO of the Škoda Group, Petr Novotný. The discussions focused on advancing Uzbekistan’s transport industry through modernization and technological collaboration.
Key topics addressed during the meeting included the modernization of railway infrastructure, the implementation of energy-saving technologies, and the exchange of international expertise in the transport sector. The parties also explored prospects for cooperation in the production of new-generation electric trains to enhance the country’s rail transport efficiency and sustainability.
Following the discussions, both sides agreed on the joint implementation of projects, signaling a strengthened partnership in Uzbekistan’s transport sector development.
