President Prabowo Chairs Strategic Cabinet Meeting on Education and Security

Jakarta, May 4, 2026 – The Europe Today:  Prabowo Subianto chaired a closed-door meeting with cabinet members and senior state officials on Saturday evening (May 2) to deliberate on key strategic issues, with a particular focus on education and national security.

According to a statement shared via the official presidential Instagram account, the meeting was held at the President’s residence in Hambalang, Bogor, and attended by members of the Kabinet Merah Putih.

The discussions centred on education policies in connection with National Education Day, alongside efforts to advance downstreaming policies aimed at enhancing public welfare and economic value creation.

Participants also reviewed defence and security strategies to ensure national stability amid evolving global tensions. The meeting brought together key ministers, including Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Higher Education, Science and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto, along with State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Senior military and law enforcement officials were also in attendance, including Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. Other participants included TNI Deputy Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita, Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, and Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali.

The meeting was further attended by Head of the State Intelligence Agency Herindra, Head of the Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo.
