Seoul, June 3, 2026 – The Europe Today: Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, held bilateral talks on Wednesday with Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the African-Korean Partnership in Seoul.
During the meeting, Attaf congratulated his Nigerian counterpart on her appointment as Nigeria’s foreign minister and reaffirmed Algeria’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding and friendly relations between the two sister nations.
The two ministers reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and discussed ways to further enhance political and economic ties in areas of mutual interest.
The talks also focused on developments in the Sahel region, with both sides exchanging views on efforts to promote stability, peace, and sustainable development across the area. They underscored the importance of advancing regional integration through the implementation of major structural and connectivity projects aimed at fostering economic growth and cooperation among countries in the region.
The meeting reflected the shared commitment of Algeria and Nigeria to deepening their partnership and contributing to regional peace, security, and development in Africa.
