Dushanbe, June 10, 2026 – The Europe Today: Chairman of the Majlisi milli of the Majlisi Oli and Chairman of Dushanbe, Rustam Emomali, inaugurated the new building of the Institute of Economics and Demography of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan in Dushanbe’s Shohmansur district.
According to official information, the newly constructed six-story facility, which also includes a basement level, is situated within the academic campus of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and has been designed to accommodate up to 150 researchers.
The modern building is expected to provide improved conditions for scientific research and academic activities in the fields of economics, demography, and social development, contributing to the advancement of research and innovation in the country.
The inauguration reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen Tajikistan’s scientific and educational infrastructure, enhance research capacity, and support the work of scholars and experts engaged in addressing key socio-economic challenges and development priorities.
Officials noted that the new facility will serve as an important center for scientific inquiry and policy-oriented research, helping to promote evidence-based decision-making and sustainable national development.
