Washington, June 13, 2026 — The Europe Today: The U.S. Department of Justice has approved Paramount Skydance’s proposed acquisition of Warner Bros, clearing the way for one of the largest media deals in recent years, valued at more than $110 billion.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Justice Department’s Competition Division confirmed that its review concluded the transaction is “not likely to harm competition or American consumers.”
The decision effectively gives the green light to the landmark merger, which is estimated to be worth over 1,000 billion Swedish kronor.
