Tajikistan and Georgia Sign MoU to Strengthen Cooperation in State External Audit

Dushanbe, June 23, 2026 – The Europe Today: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation was signed between the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Audit Office of Georgia following official talks held between the two countries on June 19, according to the Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan.

The signing ceremony took place after the conclusion of formal negotiations between Tajik and Georgian delegations, marking a new stage in bilateral institutional cooperation in the field of public external audit.

Under the agreement, both sides will carry out cooperation in accordance with their national legislation, regulations, concepts, and international obligations. The MoU aims to strengthen and expand effective collaboration in the area of external state audit on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.

The two institutions agreed to enhance cooperation through the exchange of information, consultations, and participation in conferences on key issues related to external public audit. The agreement also provides for the sharing of knowledge and experience in audit policy and technologies, as well as the organization of study visits and professional exchanges.

The Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan and the State Audit Office of Georgia will also deepen cooperation within international platforms, including the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI), further strengthening professional ties and multilateral engagement in the field of public sector auditing.
