Ashgabat, July 27, 2024, The Europe Today: During an official visit to Pakistan this week, Turkmen and Pakistani officials engaged in discussions to establish a department for the study of the Urdu language at the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, according to reports from the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
The outcomes of the visit were presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, at the latest Cabinet of Ministers meeting. This initiative reflects a growing commitment to enhance cultural and educational exchanges between the two nations.
In addition to linguistic collaboration, the discussions also encompassed potential avenues for social cooperation. A significant topic was the prospect of Turkmen diplomats participating in courses organized by the Diplomatic Academy of Pakistan, highlighting a mutual interest in strengthening diplomatic ties and professional development.
