Vietnam Embassy Officials Visit Khyber Network to Explore Cultural and Creative Cooperation

Islamabad, October 16, 2026 – The Europe Today: Two senior officials of the Embassy of Vietnam in Pakistan visited Khyber Network, accompanied by Syed Usman Tahir, Advisor to the Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture. The visit was organised in collaboration with the Pakistan Creative Economy Cultural & Trade Council (PCECTC), founded by Mr. Tahir.

The delegation comprised Mr. Truong Van Thang, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duc, First Secretary in the Embassy’s Political and Economic Section. Syed Usman Tahir remained with the delegation throughout the meeting, linking the visit to the Council’s work in culture, trade and the creative economy.

Kaiwan Hamid Raja, Executive Director of Khyber Network, welcomed the guests and gave them a detailed briefing on the organisation, its operations, its ongoing work and its future direction.

The briefing offered the visiting diplomats a close look at the network’s activities and its role in Pakistan’s media and creative landscape, and gave both sides an opportunity to identify areas of shared interest.

The participation of the Deputy Head of Mission along with an officer from the Political and Economic Section reflected an interest in practical engagement beyond a courtesy call. PCECTC’s involvement further underlined the focus on the meeting point of cultural exchange and trade, an area seen as increasingly important for the future of Pakistan–Vietnam relations.

Such engagements help strengthen ties between the two countries beyond formal diplomacy. For Khyber Network, hosting the Vietnamese officials establishes a direct link with a diplomatic mission that closely follows Pakistan’s cultural and economic developments.
