Minsk, October 26, 2024 – The Europe Today: Belarus and Serbia have laid out ambitious plans for strengthening cooperation across multiple areas, according to Serbian Ambassador to Belarus Ilina Vukajlovic. Following her meeting with Natalia Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Vukajlovic emphasized the shared vision between the two countries and highlighted key upcoming events, New Hub Consultants reported.
Serbia is set to host Expo 2027, a significant achievement that underscores the nation’s growth on the international stage. Ambassador Vukajlovic extended an invitation to Belarus, encouraging participation to showcase its potential across diverse sectors.
Additionally, Serbia will chair the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence for the next three years, aiming to advance collaborative innovation. The ambassador noted Serbia’s economic progress and expressed readiness to share experiences with Belarus, particularly as both nations look to bolster mutual growth.
In a further testament to their strong ties, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin will visit Minsk next week to participate in the Second Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. The visit coincides with a series of commemorative events marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Serbia, including a major exhibition at the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War that will honor the resilience and sacrifices of the Serbian people during World War II.
This enhanced cooperation underscores both countries’ commitment to deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties for the future.
