Baku, December 11, 2024 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan to discuss recent developments in Syria, bilateral relations, and regional security issues.
According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the ministers reviewed the evolving situation in Syria, emphasizing their support for the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. They expressed hope for a swift resolution to the crisis in line with the interests and aspirations of the Syrian people.
Focus on Azerbaijan-Türkiye Alliance and Regional Security

Bayramov and Fidan exchanged views on the discussions held during the OSCE’s 31st Ministerial Council in Malta. The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister congratulated Türkiye on the appointment of veteran Turkish diplomat Feridun Sinirlioğlu as OSCE Secretary General, highlighting the achievement as a moment of pride for Azerbaijan.
