Islamabad, December 29, 2024 – The Europe Today: His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev held a meeting with Mr. Zafar Bakhtawari, Chairman of Pakistan’s largest pharmaceutical network, “D.Watson Group,” and head of the Pakistan Cultural Forum, to discuss strengthening ties in pharmaceuticals and cultural exchange.
Pharmaceutical Sector
The meeting focused on ensuring affordable medicines, localizing production, and meeting domestic market needs through Uzbek pharmaceutical products. Plans are underway for a delegation from “D.Watson Group” to visit Uzbekistan in early 2025 to explore opportunities for joint projects in the pharmaceutical sector.
Cultural Cooperation
Mr. Bakhtawari emphasized the significance of cultural exchange in fostering closer relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Proposed initiatives for 2025 include student exchange programs, joint cultural events, and the development of collaborative cultural projects.
These initiatives aim to open new avenues for friendship and collaboration, building on the shared history, rich culture, and common goals of both nations.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to working together for mutual prosperity, paving the way for a bright future for Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
