Communication University of China Shows Keen Interest and Collaboration with University of Lahore

Beijing, June 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: Today, Mr. Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors at the University of Lahore (UOL) along with Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) Islamabad and Mr. Hiu David Chu, CEO of Precise Development (HK) Limited, China visited Institute for Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC) and met with Mr. Li Xinjun, Vice President of Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China.

The meeting was also notably attended by several key figures from the Communication University of China (CUC). These included Prof. Li Huailiang, Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, China, Wang Wenyuan, Director International Office of Communication University of China (CUC), Prof. Zhang Yanqiu, Associate Dean of ICSF, CUC, Beijing, China and Director of Africa Communication Research Centre, Ms. Sun Yuhong, Head of International Affairs Department of the ICSF, CUC, Beijing, China and Dong Yuting, International Office, CUC, Beijing, China. The presence of these high-ranking officials underscored the importance of the collaborative discussions.

During the meeting, Mr. Li Xinjun extended a warm welcome to the Pakistani delegation, initiating the discussion by comprehensively briefing them on the profound concept of a community with a shared future, an initiative championed by President Xi Jinping.

Prof. Li Huailiang also expressed heartfelt appreciation for Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram’s significant contributions to championing the concept of a community with a shared future, as envisioned by President Xi Jinping. He acknowledged Mr. Akram’s remarkable efforts, which have greatly influenced the global academic community in support of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

Mr. Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors at the University of Lahore (UOL), expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and He further elaborated on UOL’s strong interest in fostering academic collaborations, research partnerships, and student exchange programs that align with the principles of the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to contribute to regional development and cross-cultural dialogue.

Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, PRCCSF supplemented Mr. Raoof’s remarks by highlighting the strategic importance of such engagements for promoting economic cooperation and knowledge sharing between Pakistan and China.

Furthermore, it was decided that various opportunities for joint seminars, workshops, and conferences aimed at promoting cross-cultural understanding and sharing best practices among scholars from diverse backgrounds would be pursued. These collaborative initiatives are expected to deepen academic ties and foster a more integrated global community.
