Islamabad, September 23, 2025 — The Europe Today: Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, A. Movlamov, along with the Embassy’s First Secretary (Consul), B. Yazov, visited the Islamabad campus of Bahria University on Tuesday.
The Turkmen delegation was received by Rear Admiral (R) Naeem Sarwar SI (M), Director General of the campus, and Professor Adam Saud, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in education and research, fostering academic exchanges, and developing joint research projects.
Following the meeting, the Embassy representatives delivered a lecture titled “The Role of Turkmenistan’s Positive Neutrality in Strengthening Peace and Trust.” Addressing students and faculty, First Secretary (Consul) B. Yazov outlined Turkmenistan’s policy of positive neutrality, underscoring its contribution to global peace and trust. He also highlighted the Strategy of Global Security initiated by the President of Turkmenistan, the importance of regional energy projects such as TAPI and TAP, and the significance of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. Special emphasis was placed on the upcoming International Forum on the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality, scheduled for December 12.
Students actively engaged in the session, raising questions about Turkmenistan-Pakistan bilateral relations, the use of regional transit and transport corridors, and the future of energy projects. Ambassador Movlamov and other Embassy representatives addressed their queries in detail, stressing that sustainable development depends on trust and cooperation, while energy initiatives hold strategic value for regional prosperity.
It was further noted that today’s young specialists will play a crucial role in advancing interstate ties and ensuring a stronger foundation for future collaboration.
