Astana, October 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a prestigious award ceremony in Astana to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the “Kazakhstan Through the Eyes of Foreign Media” contest. The event honored international journalists whose works have contributed to promoting Kazakhstan’s culture, economy, and modern development to global audiences.
Among the winners was Muhammad Ali Pasha of Pakistan, who received recognition in the digitalization category. Being an IT Professional and a Writer, he was awarded by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan at the Foreign Office in Astana on October 2, 2025.
Speaking to The Astana Times, Pasha expressed that writing has always been his passion alongside his career as a software engineer.
“My article on the digital transformation of Kazakhstan and the role of Astana Hub has been selected. That was an amazing experience for me,” he said.
Pasha further noted that Kazakhstan’s digital transformation since 2018 has opened new avenues for cooperation with Pakistan in artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, and data center management. He also shared his plans to attend the Digital Bridge Conference, which he believes will deepen his understanding of Kazakhstan’s dynamic digital landscape.
Other award recipients included Belgium’s Derya Soysal in economy, Uzbekistan’s Akpanbetova Arukhan in culture and history, the United States’ Matthew Fitzgerald in sports, and Armenia’s Marianna Mkrtchian in tourism.
