Astana, November 25, 2025 – The Europe Today: Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was conferred Kazakhstan’s highest state honor, the Order of Altyn Qyran, during his state visit on Tuesday, the press service of the Kazakh president announced.
Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underscored President Berdimuhamedov’s stature as a respected leader of a new generation, praising his progressive governance and steady efforts to strengthen Turkmenistan’s statehood, socio-economic capacity, and international profile.
President Tokayev highlighted Turkmenistan’s ongoing modernization across key sectors, noting significant advancements in industrial development, transport infrastructure, and energy capacity. He further emphasized that the country’s technological transformation, large-scale social projects, and the sustained progress of its scientific and educational sectors reflect effective leadership and improving public welfare—achievements he said merit the nation’s highest recognition.
Expressing gratitude, President Berdimuhamedov said the honor symbolizes the deep respect for the people of Turkmenistan and reflects the strong bonds of friendship and good-neighborly relations between the two nations. He noted that close and constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on international platforms demonstrates a high level of mutual understanding, solidarity, and coordinated efforts in addressing major regional and global challenges.
The Altyn Qyran Order is Kazakhstan’s highest state award, bestowed on distinguished individuals for exceptional service to the state.
