Tehran, December 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday emphasized that the Late Imam Khomeini was a messenger of unity and solidarity among people, underlining the importance of cohesion among Muslim nations to prevent external forces from sowing discord within the Muslim Ummah.
President Pezeshkian made the remarks while addressing the First Edition of the Imam Khomeini World Award in Tehran. He stated that the late Imam Khomeini dedicated his life to promoting unity among the Muslim Ummah and fostering solidarity across communities.
He stressed that Muslim countries must actively demonstrate their ability to achieve practical unity, in line with the vision of Imam Khomeini, so that enemies cannot exploit divisions within the Ummah.
“Muslim nations must be united so that adversaries cannot create rifts among the Ummah. It is imperative to translate the ideals of unity into concrete actions,” President Pezeshkian said, highlighting the enduring relevance of Imam Khomeini’s message for the modern era.
