N’Djamena, March 18, 2026 – The Europe Today: A delegation from Azerbaijan’s Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IRIA) has conducted an official visit to Chad aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in digital development and promoting Azerbaijani technology exports.
The delegation, which included senior representatives from state-owned companies and residents of Azerbaijani technoparks, visited Chad at the invitation of the country’s Minister of Telecommunications, Digital Economy and Digitalization of Administration, Michel Boukar.
During the visit, IRIA officials held a high-level meeting with Chad’s Prime Minister, Allamaye Halina, where both sides discussed expanding cooperation in innovation, education, and digital transformation. The talks focused on opportunities for exporting Azerbaijani digital products, launching joint initiatives, and facilitating the exchange of expertise.
In a separate meeting with Minister Boukar, discussions centered on Chad’s ongoing and planned digitalization projects, as well as strategic priorities in the technology sector. The parties also explored avenues for collaboration under existing bilateral memorandums, particularly in areas such as developing innovation ecosystems, enhancing digital infrastructure, digitizing public services, and strengthening institutional engagement.
The delegation also engaged with senior officials from various Chadian ministries and government agencies, highlighting potential cooperation in digital government systems, cybersecurity, and innovation-driven development.
As part of the visit, representatives from Azerbaijani technoparks presented their technological solutions and explored opportunities to introduce and expand their products in the Chadian market.
The visit aimed to promote Azerbaijani digital solutions, support their export potential, and assess prospects for implementing large-scale joint projects, while laying the groundwork for long-term digital partnership between Azerbaijan and Chad.
