Islamabad, May 15, 2026 – The Europe Today: Renowned humanitarian and social worker Muhammad Saeed Sheikh has been awarded the prestigious “Sitara-e-Khidmat,” Pakistan’s third-highest civilian award, in recognition of his more than four decades of dedicated humanitarian and welfare services.
The award was conferred by President of Pakistan during a prestigious ceremony held in Islamabad on May 13, 2026, where several distinguished personalities were also honored for their outstanding contributions in various fields.
Born and raised in Hyderabad, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh was previously associated with the Junior Chambers of Commerce. He is currently based in Houston, where he serves as President of the Houston Karachi Sister City Association and Coordinator of the Alliance for Disaster Relief.
Over the years, Sheikh has led numerous humanitarian and relief missions across the world, including in Pakistan, Kenya, Türkiye, Jordan, and Lebanon. His remarkable contributions in disaster relief, healthcare, and community welfare have earned him widespread international appreciation.
He has actively collaborated with several renowned welfare and humanitarian organizations, including Helping Hand for Relief and Development, Medical Bridges, Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America, Pakistani-American Association of Greater Houston, and Pakistan Chamber of Commerce USA.
During his recent visit to Pakistan, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh inaugurated multiple HHRD water projects, visited the Karachi Institute of Neurological Diseases and Rehabilitation outpatient hospital, and distributed medical relief supplies at two healthcare facilities of Raazi Hospital in Islamabad and Kahuta.
Social and public circles have widely congratulated Muhammad Saeed Sheikh on receiving the prestigious national honor, describing it as a matter of pride for both Pakistan and the overseas Pakistani community.
