Baku, May 16, 2026 — The Europe Today: Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, arrived in Azerbaijan on Saturday to participate in the 13th session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13).
Upon her arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, the Punjab Chief Minister was warmly received by Azerbaijani officials.
The World Urban Forum, organized under the auspices of the United Nations, serves as a global platform for dialogue on sustainable urban development, housing, and the future of cities. Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s participation reflects Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation on urban planning and sustainable development initiatives.
