Dushanbe, May 29, 2026 – The Europe Today: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon has issued a series of directives aimed at fully meeting and exceeding domestic demand for locally produced cement.
According to the instructions of the head of state, four new cement production plants with a combined annual capacity of six million tons are scheduled to be launched in various regions of the country over the next two to three years, by 2029.
Officials stated that the expansion of production capacity will significantly increase cement output in Tajikistan, ensuring the domestic market is fully supplied with high-quality cement at affordable prices.
The initiative is also expected to strengthen the country’s industrial sector and reduce dependence on imported construction materials.
Authorities added that the new cement plants will create nearly 5,000 jobs, contributing to employment growth and regional economic development across the country.
