Islamabad, August 26, 2026 – The Europe Today: Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, commemorating the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, is being observed across Pakistan with deep religious devotion and reverence.
The day began with a traditional gun salute, while mosques, public and private buildings, streets, neighborhoods, squares and marketplaces across the country have been beautifully illuminated and decorated to mark the occasion.
Cities across Pakistan are echoing with Durood-o-Salam and devotional recitations as people express their love and reverence for the Holy Prophet ﷺ. Special Milad gatherings, Naat recitation programmes and religious ceremonies are being organized in different parts of the country.
In Karachi, streets and neighborhoods have been illuminated with colorful lights. Various stalls have been set up where visitors can see sacred relics, including strands of the Prophet’s ﷺ blessed hair, while models depicting Masjid an-Nabawi ﷺ and the Holy Kaaba have also been displayed. Milad gatherings and processions are being held in different areas of the city.
In Lahore, mosques, homes, roads and government buildings have been decorated for Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ. Special ceremonies are being organized, with prayers offered for the progress, prosperity and well-being of the country. The central procession in Lahore will begin from Railway Station Chowk.
In Peshawar, Naat recitation programmes and Milad gatherings are being held to pay tribute to the Mercy to the Worlds, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Quetta has also been illuminated, with Naat gatherings and Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ processions being organized at various locations. A central gathering will be held at Bacha Khan Chowk.
Islamabad has been extensively decorated to mark the joyous occasion, with buildings and streets illuminated and slogans expressing love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ echoing across the capital. Special prayers and religious activities are also being held at mosques.
In Karachi, the central Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ procession will leave Shaheed Mosque in Kharadar at 2:30 p.m. It will pass through New Memon Mosque before concluding at Gulzar-e-Habib Mosque around Asr prayers.
Processions and religious gatherings are also being organized in other cities across the country.
In view of the occasion, K-Electric has announced that there will be no load-shedding across Karachi on the day of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ.
