Islamabad, September 5, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ambassador-designate of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Irfan Davudov, presented copies of his Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Nauman Bashir Bhatti, Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
The presentation of the diplomatic credentials marks the beginning of Ambassador-designate Davudov’s official diplomatic engagement in Pakistan.
Irfan Davudov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Pakistan by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in August 2026. Prior to his appointment, he served as Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Malaysia and concurrently to Brunei Darussalam.
The appointment is expected to contribute to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and promoting bilateral cooperation in political, economic, trade, cultural and other fields.
