Karachi, September 7, 2026 – The Europe Today: A wreath-laying ceremony was held in Karachi to commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, recipient of Pakistan’s highest military award, Nishan-e-Haider.
A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), led by Air Vice Marshal Akhtar Imran Saddozai, Air Officer Commanding Southern Air Command, offered Fateha and laid a floral wreath at the grave of the national hero on behalf of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.
Paying rich tribute to Rashid Minhas Shaheed, the contingent saluted his exceptional courage, unwavering commitment and ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. His heroic legacy continues to symbolise the proud traditions of the Pakistan Air Force, where duty, honour and sacrifice remain the highest ideals.
The ceremony reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s unwavering resolve to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. It also underscored the Force’s preparedness to confront every challenge with courage, professionalism, combat readiness and steadfast determination.
The occasion served as a poignant tribute to the gallant martyrs of the Pakistan Air Force, whose supreme sacrifices continue to inspire generations and remain permanently etched in the glorious annals of Pakistan’s history.
