Islamabad, September 12, 2026 – The Europe Today: Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan Yusuf Sharifzoda held a meeting with the leadership of the Zhob Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss the development of trade and economic relations and the expansion of business cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sharifzoda briefed representatives of the Chamber on the trade, economic and investment opportunities available in Tajikistan. He encouraged the Zhob Chamber of Commerce and Industry and members of the local business community to strengthen engagement with Tajik business partners and make greater use of available opportunities to establish direct business contacts.

The Ambassador underlined the importance of developing direct institutional links between the Zhob Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan. He noted that stronger cooperation between the two chambers could provide an effective mechanism for expanding bilateral trade and economic ties and facilitating new connections between the business communities of the two countries.

The sides also discussed the participation of representatives of the Zhob Chamber and the region’s business community in trade and economic forums, exhibitions and other international events to be organised in Tajikistan.

They emphasised the importance of active participation by Pakistan’s private sector in such events, which would provide opportunities to showcase the trade, investment and production potential of both countries and identify new areas for commercial cooperation.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to continue cooperation and contribute to further strengthening trade, economic and business relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
