Dushanbe, September 19, 2026 – The Europe Today: A meeting of the interagency working group on the two-year review of the implementation of the 2024–2026 Action Plan under the “National Health Protection Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the Period up to 2030” was held at the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan, the Khovar State News Agency reported, citing the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
The National Health Protection Strategy for the Republic of Tajikistan through 2030 identifies 12 strategic areas for the development of the country’s healthcare system. The 2024–2026 Action Plan serves as the main operational document for implementing the strategy and was developed by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population with the support of development partners.
During the meeting, the Health Sector Analytical Group of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population presented the interagency working group with a two-year review of progress in implementing the 2024–2026 Action Plan under the National Health Protection Strategy.
It was noted that the review covers the reporting period from January 2024 to December 2025. It was prepared on the basis of the Monitoring Framework approved by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population, including the Data Collection Tool and the First Mid-Term Report, which had previously been submitted to the Government of Tajikistan.
The 2024–2026 Action Plan serves as the principal operational mechanism for implementing the strategy’s 12 strategic areas. It translates these priorities into specific measures across four interconnected areas: improving the accessibility, quality and responsiveness of primary healthcare services; ensuring sustainable healthcare financing; developing an integrated health management system and digital healthcare; and ensuring the sustainable development of human resources in the healthcare sector.
The meeting provided an opportunity for relevant government institutions to review progress made during the first two years of implementation and assess priorities for the remaining period of the Action Plan.
