Baku, September 22, 2026 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has directed that the country’s new State Program on the development of the mining and metallurgical industry be fully implemented within four years, from 2027 to 2030.
Speaking at a meeting dedicated to the State Program, President Aliyev emphasized the importance of ensuring the timely and comprehensive implementation of the program during the specified period.
“The Program on the development of the mining and metallurgical industry must be implemented in just four years—fully executed between 2027 and 2030,” the President said.
President Aliyev further noted that the new program would also incorporate priorities related to the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan’s regions.
He underscored the significance of coordinated implementation of the program’s measures in supporting the development of the mining and metallurgical sector and contributing to broader regional socio-economic development.
