Beijing, December 30, 2023, The Europe Today: Chinese-brand passenger car sales surged by 23.8 percent year-on-year in the first 11 months of the current year, reaching a notable figure of 12.98 million units, according to the Chinese state media.
The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers reported that during this period, the market share of these vehicles rose to 55.8 percent, marking a 6.6 percentage points increase compared to the same period in 2022. In November alone, approximately 1.56 million domestic-brand passenger vehicles were sold in China, experiencing a remarkable 37.9 percent year-on-year increase.
These sales accounted for 59.7 percent of the country’s total passenger vehicle sales last month, reflecting a 5.4 percentage points rise compared to the previous year. This data underscores the robust performance and growing market presence of Chinese-brand passenger cars.
