Uzbekistan, Poland to establish Business Council

Warsaw, December 31, 2023, The Europe Today: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Amirsaid Agzamkhodjayev, engaged in a meeting with Marek Kloczko, the President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and Vice-President of the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

Discussions centered around advancing bilateral trade, economic, and investment cooperation, with a focus on preparations for the forthcoming business forum during the 8th meeting of the Uzbekistan – Poland Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, scheduled for April 2024 in Tashkent. Notably, the commission decided to formalize the Uzbekistan – Poland Business Council through a signed agreement, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the Central Asian region.

Acknowledging the active role of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Polish side expressed gratitude for the embassy’s involvement in study visits to Polish voivodeships, organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for advisers on trade and economic matters from foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Warsaw.
