Azerbaijan Sets Up Polling Stations in Embassies Abroad for Presidential Elections

Baku, January 01, 2024, The Europe Today: In anticipation of the upcoming extraordinary presidential elections scheduled for February 7, Azerbaijan has initiated preparations to facilitate the exercise of electoral rights for its citizens residing in foreign countries.

In adherence to the Election Code, polling stations are being strategically established within Azerbaijan’s diplomatic missions and consulates abroad, specifically in locations where the consularly registered voter count surpasses 50. This meticulous planning underscores the commitment to ensuring the active participation of Azerbaijani citizens living abroad in the democratic process, with diplomatic missions serving as vital conduits for their engagement in the electoral proceedings.
