Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia Hosts Gala Concert Celebrating Magtymguly Fragi’s 300th Anniversary

Moscow, April 09, 2024, The Europe Today: The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia, in collaboration with the Moscow International Arts Festival “Sounds of Dutar” named after Nury Halmamedov, organized a grand gala concert titled “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi” in Moscow. This event was dedicated to commemorating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi, as reported by the website of the Turkmen diplomatic mission in the Russian Federation.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev emphasized that 2024 in Turkmenistan is marked under the theme “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi” in honor of the classic of Turkmen literature. He highlighted Magtymguly’s profound influence on national culture and his advocacy of patriotism, humanism, and the spirit of friendship among peoples.

The gala concert was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, Russian cultural figures, heads of organizations, and Turkmen students studying at Russian universities. The program showcased compositions by Turkmen and Russian composers performed by talented artists from Turkmenistan and Russia.

In a statement, the Turkmen Embassy in the Russian Federation described the concert as a significant event held at a high standard, underscoring its role in advancing cultural cooperation between Turkmenistan and Russia.
