Kuala Lumpur, July 01, 2024, The Europe Today: According to Uzbek media reports, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Karomiddin Gadoyev, held a productive meeting with King Lim Chin Fui, the founder and CEO of FIVE Petroleum Malaysia. The discussions centered around potential investment opportunities in Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, both parties explored various avenues for investment, including a significant project discussed earlier this year. At a business forum held in Samarkand in May, King Lim expressed keen interest in implementing an agreement reached with the regional government concerning an aluminum cans production project.
King Lim emphasized his company’s readiness to collaborate with local soft drink manufacturers in Uzbekistan by supplying aluminum cans produced by FIVE Petroleum Malaysia. Additionally, they agreed on initiating a project to establish a network of gas stations in Tashkent and other regions of the republic, equipped with modern technology.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to organize a working trip for a delegation from FIVE Petroleum Malaysia to Uzbekistan, marking a significant step towards strengthening bilateral economic ties.
Founded in 2020, FIVE Petroleum Malaysia operates over 110 car filling stations across Malaysia and holds a 60 percent stake in BHPetrol, which boasts more than 400 gas stations.
This collaboration underscores the growing interest of Malaysian businesses in Uzbekistan’s market and their commitment to fostering economic partnerships.
