Beijing Daxing International Airport Expands Services with New FBO and MRO Facility

Beijing, August 28, 2024, The Europe Today: Beijing Daxing International Airport has officially launched its international passenger channel for the fixed-base operator (FBO) and a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility dedicated to business jets. The inauguration of these new services marks a significant advancement in the airport’s capabilities and its commitment to enhancing business aviation.Jia Jianqing, Deputy General Manager of Capital Airports Holdings Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of this development, stating that it will significantly advance business aviation at the airport. “Business aviation is a vital component of civil aviation, and this new infrastructure will greatly foster its growth at Beijing Daxing.”The newly opened FBO offers comprehensive services for general aviation aircraft, including refueling, maintenance, and hangar facilities. The international passenger channel, operational 24 hours a day, is designed to be the premier choice for business aviation, providing high-quality services tailored to business travelers and VIPs.The FBO will cater to a range of functions, including international flights, medical emergency services, aircraft maintenance, aviation tourism, and low-altitude business operations.The MRO facility, spanning approximately 5,000 square meters, is equipped to handle three large and medium-sized business jets simultaneously. Operated by ExecuJet Haite, the facility aims to become a comprehensive service center throughout the lifecycle of business jets. This includes maintenance, management, purchases, sales, dismantling, asset disposal, financing, business charters, and parts maintenance and sales.Beijing Daxing International Airport, one of the city’s two major hub airports alongside Beijing Capital International Airport, now supports 65 airlines serving 180 destinations globally. This expansion underscores Beijing’s growing significance as a central hub for international and business aviation.
