Bishkek, September 05, 2024, The Europe Today: Kyrgyzstan has significantly boosted its coal exports to China, with a 3.4-fold increase recorded during the first seven months of 2024, according to the General Customs Administration of China.
Between January and July 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 77,000 tons of coal to China, generating $3.4 million in revenue. The average price for coal exports during this period ranged between $43 and $46 per ton.
This substantial increase in coal exports underscores the strengthening economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and China and reflects growing demand for Kyrgyz coal in the Chinese market. The enhanced export performance aligns with Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to expand its trade partnerships and leverage its natural resources for economic growth.
