Ashgabat, October 10, 2024 – The Europe Today: From October 23 to 25, 2024, Ashgabat will host the 29th International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” (OGT 2024), bringing together over 300 delegates from 34 countries, according to Turkmenistan’s official media reports on Tuesday.
Organized by state concerns Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil), with support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the corporation Türkmengeologiýa (Turkmengeology), the event has garnered significant attention from industry experts worldwide.
The OGT 2024 conference will feature comprehensive thematic sessions addressing crucial issues in the global oil and gas industry, including energy transition, development of export routes, and the environmental impacts of hydrocarbon extraction. Notable speakers include top executives from international companies, such as Ariel Flores from BP, Matthew J. Sagers from S&P Global Platts, Rickard Wannby from Haldor Topsoe, Yevgen Groza from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Kenyon S. Weaver from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
In parallel, the OGT Expo will showcase over 70 companies, including global industry leaders such as ADNOC, CNPC, Eni, and Petronas, highlighting the latest innovations and technologies. Turkmen companies, including Garagum Hazynasy, Nurly Tolkun, and Türkmen Gala, will also be prominently represented, providing an opportunity to present their products and services to a diverse international audience.
