Belarusian President Extends National Day Greetings to Sultan of Oman

Minsk, November 18, 2024 – The Europe Today: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said on the occasion of Oman’s National Day, the Belarusian leader’s press service announced.

In his message, President Lukashenko highlighted the significance of the celebration, noting, “The great holiday symbolizes the unity and power of the country, and the pride in its achievements.” He commended Sultan Haitham’s efforts in transforming Oman into a hub of economic and political stability in the region, emphasizing the strategic modernization of infrastructure as a cornerstone of the Sultanate’s progress.

The Belarusian President also underscored the enduring friendship between Belarus and Oman, which spans over 30 years. He expressed optimism for continued collaboration, stating, “I am looking forward to your personal support in the implementation of the agreements to expand trade, industrial partnership with an emphasis on joint production, transport and logistics routes, and investment projects. We aim to deepen cooperation in information technology and humanitarian matters.”

President Lukashenko also expressed his eagerness to meet Sultan Haitham to further discuss the future of bilateral relations and explore opportunities for growth.
