Islamabad, January 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: His Excellency Alisher Tukhtaev held a productive meeting with Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, Pakistan’s Minister for Communications, Privatization, and Investment, to discuss ways to deepen the historical friendship and partnership between the two nations.
During the meeting, both leaders outlined key initiatives to elevate bilateral relations, focusing on:
- Expanding trade and economic cooperation to unlock mutual growth opportunities.
- Implementing major transport and logistics projects to enhance connectivity, including the landmark Trans-Afghan Railway Project, a vital step in regional economic integration.
- Attracting international partners to support infrastructure development and modernization.
- Reducing tariffs and trade costs to increase trade volumes and benefit businesses in both countries.
- Enhancing aviation links, with regular Tashkent-Lahore flights yielding promising results and plans to expand to other cities for closer regional ties.
Both sides agreed to organize regular business forums to foster economic diplomacy, encourage investment, and provide a platform for entrepreneurs to collaborate on future projects.
