Monaco, January 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: Ambassador of Turkmenistan to France, Maksat Charyyev, met with Monaco’s Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, Marie-Catherine Caruso-Ravera, on January 29, 2025, to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in sports and charity, according to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France.
The discussions focused on collaboration through the Peace and Sport Foundation, with both parties exploring upcoming events and potential joint initiatives. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in social support, charity, and children’s programs. One key topic was the possibility of partnerships between Turkmenistan’s Charitable Fund for the Assistance of Children in Need of Care, named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Monaco’s Princess Grace and Prince Albert II foundations.
The meeting underscored the significance of Turkmenistan-Monaco relations, especially following the visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, and the participation of the Turkmen equestrian group Galkynysh in the 47th International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo.
Additionally, on January 28, Maksat Charyyev met with Joël Bouzou, President of Peace and Sport, to discuss the possibility of hosting an international forum of the organization in Turkmenistan.
